The WLP: updated, charted, reported

This morning’s entry at WeightChart.com shows me back down into the 220s after a very rough week that had me several days up into the 230s.

The early days of this past week had everything in it that can go wrong with a Weight Loss Project (WLP): massive insomnia, foolish overeating, and practically no physical exercise. The result was predictable and the chart above verifies it. Thankfully, the insomnia broke late in the week. (I seem able to lose weight only when I’m sleeping well.) This has also given me the energy to start working out again, and to move through my chores while NOT constantly eating. If this trend continues, November should be a good month for the WLP.

If I can hold to the discipline of eating moderate amounts of the right foods, unlike this past week when I pigged out majorly on the wrong stuff, I’ll be okay.

Can sinuses get hives?

This current allergy season is hitting me like an alien attack force from some mysterious planet of pure evil. No kidding. And no fun.

Primary symptoms plagueing me this weekend are:

  • plugged up ear canals – (Yes, I’m irrigating them daily with peroxide and hot water to prevent the onset of total deafness.),
  • waves of sinus headaches,
  • waves of vertigo, and
  • waves of nausea.

All of the above makes it extremely difficult to work through my ongoing chess games. That bums me out to no small degree. They also inhibit my desire to put myself through the regular bowflex workouts. Since those workouts are an essential component of my WLP (Weight Loss Project), missing them bums me out quite a bit.

Meanwhile, I mega-dose myself with DayQuil and NyQuil. Those meds do counteract the allergy symptoms to some degree, but they also zombie me right out. And that zombiefication complicates the chess work and bowflex workouts, too.

Crap!
